Diving in El Quesir: El Quesir is in the south of the Egyptian Red Sea near Marsa Alam. The diving is far superior to Sharm and Hurghada as the reef is fairly untouched. The diving is perfect for all levels from absolute beginners to advanced divers. The diving for beginners is all shore diving while qualified divers can boat dive as well. Experienced divers can also join a trip out to the famous Elphinstone Reef.

El Quesir is renowned for its prolific fish life and healthy corals. Turtles are regularly seen on the hotel house reef along with dolphins playing in the breakers.

Cost : £549 including flights, taxes, transfers, on a half board basis in a twin room. If anybody would prefer not to share, then the single supplement is £65. I have arranged this holiday through Regal Dive who are always voted in the top three dive travel agents in the UK by readers of Diver magazine. They are CAA and ATOL protected.

Hotel : The hotel is the luxurious 5* Akassia Swiss Resort.

The rooms are standard rooms with balcony or terrace, air conditioning, ensuite bathrooms with shower and hairdryer, satellite TV, mini bar and telephone.
If you would prefer to stay in the Suites there is a £182/room supplement.

The Akassia is a luxury hotel with beautiful views and sunsets over the Red Sea with it's own house reef and access to an excellent range of dive sites.

There are 4 swimming pools, a wave pool, private beach, variety of restaurants and bars, disco, tennis, volleyball, gym, health club with sauna and jacuzzi, beauty salon and internet access.

Diving : The diving is arranged through Waterworld Diving Centre. The dive centre is conveniently located in the grounds of the Akassia Swiss Resort.

The cost for a 5 day ten dive package is £125. This price includes tank and weights for diving on the house reef. If you would like to go on jeep dive safaris there is a supplement of 8 Euros/ person/ day. Boat dive supplements are 15 Euros /person / day. Full equipment can be rented in Egypt for 25 Euros/day. If you prefer we can rent you the equipment for £10/day. For those taking Open Water or Advanced courses with Dive Wimbledon the equipment is included. We will be instructing the courses. It is possible to do more dives/day, night dives or less days diving. Let us know and we can quote you the prices.

Dive computers can be rented for £35/week.

Visa : The Egyptian Visa is obtained upon arrival at the airport in Egypt for £12 for UK citizens though you may prefer to arrange it before your departure. For other nationalities check the Egyptian Consulate website.

The balance of the holiday can be paid by cheque, debit or maestro card. Credit cards can be used but they incur a £10 charge leveled by the tour operator.
